About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Expleo Engineering UK Limited. Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of embedded systems integration projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Interface with internal and external customers to understand technical requirements and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  4. Problem-Solving: Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve production issues and implement robust problem-solving methodologies.
  5. System Ownership: Become the recognized vehicle platform system owner for various embedded systems, ECUs, and features.
  6. Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of improving functional and systems testing and reporting solutions.
  7. Change Management: Manage the workflow of introducing embedded system engineering changes into production time scales.
  8. Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry-standard vehicle CAN and diagnostic applications, as well as parameter and programming data.
  9. Design Analysis: Perform design analysis tasks, including the use of D-FMEAs and Six Sigma techniques.
  10. Requirements Management: Work within a V-cycle development process using requirements management.
  11. Team Collaboration: Coach and support less experienced engineers to help them fulfill their potential.
  12. Global Projects: Participate in global embedded projects, which may involve travel.
  13. Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supplier and supply chain management personnel to ensure smooth processes and availability.
  14. FMEA Processes: Support and maintain FMEA processes related to e-Powertrain systems, including relevant meetings and DVP&R creation.
Requirements
  1. Embedded Systems Experience: Practical experience and working knowledge of embedded electronic, software, and systems engineering solutions, ideally from an automotive or related industry field.
  2. Project Management: Experience of delivering and managing embedded system integration projects, with a demonstrable ability to achieve objectives individually and as part of a team.
  3. Communication Protocols: Knowledge of communication protocols and tools, such as CAN, J1939, LIN, IP, and Vector tools.
  4. Education and Qualifications: Experience and a relevant degree or equivalent qualification within an embedded systems engineering discipline.
  5. Functional Safety and Cyber Security: Knowledge of functional safety, cyber security, and IATF processes.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders, communicate effectively across all levels of seniority, and challenge the status quo to improve processes.
