Administrative Team Lead

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and proactive candidate to fill the role of Admin Team Leader within the TRC, part of the Respiratory department. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory or management post, either within the NHS or with transferable skills outside the Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with the Patient Services Centre, Pathway Co-ordinators, Medical Secretaries, Ward Clerks, and other relevant admin, clinical, and management staff to maintain excellent communication channels and good customer services.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the areas and patient pathways covered, and the Trust-approved systems used by the team.
- Coordinate and implement all administrative processes along the patient pathway to ensure efficient, smooth, and timely management of patient journeys.
- Set expectations for customer services and ensure all staff understand and maintain these standards.
- Cascade and/or escalate details of any delays or bottlenecks within the administration/booking process that may affect patient journeys and/or delivery of clinical services.
- Ensure all patient administration is carried out in line with Trust policies and standard operating procedures.
The Admin team is based in the TRC on D level in the main hospital. This is a part-time role covering maternity leave for 1 year, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week, ideally Monday to Wednesday and Friday. Working hours are 8am to 4pm.
