Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our Fabrication Operators. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet specifications, and that delivery targets and deadlines are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Production Plan: Develop and implement effective production plans to meet business objectives.
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards, and that all operations staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Manage Operations: Manage the daily operations of the Fabrication Operators, including coordinating material requests and ensuring that all products are delivered on time.
- Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with the Quality and Design teams to ensure that all products meet specifications and that delivery targets are achieved.
- Accurately Complete Reports: Accurately complete production reports and process cards to ensure that all operations are tracked and recorded.
- Address Customer Issues: Promptly address customer issues, including those from Stores and Assembly.
- Manage Stock Areas: Manage stock areas and coordinate timely material requests with Procurement.
- Keep QMS Processes Up-to-Date: Keep QMS processes up to date and accurate.
- Monitor and Report: Monitor, report, and address production-related processes, performance, and issues.
- Promote a Problem-Solving Environment: Promote a problem-solving environment, ensuring that the team identifies root causes and acts swiftly.
- Enforce Company Rules: Enforce company rules, procedures, and Health and Safety regulations.
- Lead and Contribute to Operational Improvements: Lead and contribute to operational improvements, including identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Staff Management Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Staff Activities: Manage daily staff activities, including holiday and absence tracking, return-to-work interviews, timekeeping, and disciplinary actions per company policy.
- Identify and Report Capacity Constraints: Identify and report potential capacity constraints and resource challenges.
