Pipefitter - Fabrication and Installation Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing pipework systems and utilities on our ships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel)
- Use a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipes
- Install utilities aboard ship, including sinks, showers, and toilets
Requirements:
- Trade papers, e.g., formal Modern apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)
- Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment
- Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
- Safety certification, i.e., SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height, etc.
- Background in a major construction / manufacturing environment
