Aerospace Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our aerospace products and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Head of Airworthiness and Safety in maintaining and monitoring the aerospace compliant Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring all Product Safety requirements are met.
- Provide expert advice on Product Safety matters to Project Teams, ensuring safety requirements are correctly defined, recorded, and met to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements.
- Conduct and guide Safety Management activities, including representing the Safety department at Customer and Internal Design Reviews.
- Generate, review, and approve safety documentation, and encourage proactive safety reporting within our Just Culture.
- Assist the Head of AW&S in developing and implementing in-house safety management training across the organisation.
- Knowledge of safety engineering in design.
- Experience working to Def Stan 00-056 and/or Mil Std 882.
- Knowledge of ARP 4754 and ARP 4761.
- Significant aviation safety experience.
- Experience in working within a Design Organisation.
- Advanced report writing skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills.
