Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team at PerkinElmer. As a key member of our lab service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operations within our customer lab spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine calibration and verification checks on laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Maintain and clean lab equipment to ensure the highest scientific quality of customer projects.
- Assist with general laboratory tasks, including equipment maintenance, stocking of consumables and chemicals, and overall lab upkeep.
- Collaborate with colleagues to solve technical problems and provide exceptional customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Good educational background and basic experience in a laboratory environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic experience with MS Office and ability to critically review ways of working effectively.
Working Environment:
- Must be able to work in a laboratory setting, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
- Job pace may be fast, and job completion demands may be high.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and occasionally move between labs and corridors.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and operate various instruments and equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required for this position include observing details at close range, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
