Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team at PerkinElmer. As a key member of our lab service team, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment, expanding your skill set and contributing to the success of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine calibration and verification checks on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and clean lab equipment to ensure the highest scientific quality of customer projects.
- Assist with general laboratory tasks, including equipment maintenance, stocking of consumables, and overall lab upkeep.
- Collaborate with colleagues to solve technical problems and provide exceptional customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, and environmental aspects of daily activities.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ways of working.
- Attention to detail and understanding of laboratory environments.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to critically review and improve laboratory processes.
- Good educational background.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a laboratory setting, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
- Job pace may be fast, with high demands for job completion.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Occasional movement between labs, corridors, and adjoining rooms is required.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
- Specific vision abilities are required for this position, including close-range observation and color vision.
PerkinElmer is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. This role may require completion of medical clearance, respiratory protection training, and fit testing to wear a respirator as protection against laboratory hazards.
