Job Title: Water Quality Technician

Location: Reading Area

Salary: £35,676 + Excellent Benefits

In light of continued success with a significant corporate partnership, we are in search of a committed Water Quality Technician to oversee various retail contracts in the Reading area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Water Quality Team to ensure inspections are completed promptly.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, building strong relationships with colleagues and client teams.
  • Stay informed about current regulations and engage in necessary training sessions.
  • Maintain established quality standards and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols for all personnel.
  • Conduct biannual assessments of retail locations, including Legionella risk evaluations and HVAC water-related tasks.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to relevant teams, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
  • Manage and chlorinate cold water storage tanks, sample hot and cold water systems, and monitor results.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company protocols when reporting corrective measures.
  • Assist with night shift responsibilities and collaborate with other teams across the UK as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the National Water Quality Manager.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Legionella/water sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Customer-oriented with a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Self-driven with a proactive, adaptable approach.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • GCSE standard education.
  • Experience in the retail sector.

Specialist Requirements:

  • Willingness to stay overnight away from home as necessary.
  • Ability to work in various locations across the UK.
