As a Security Officer with Border Force, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding the UK's borders and protecting its citizens. You'll be part of a dynamic team that makes a real difference in people's lives, using your skills and expertise to tackle complex issues and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate immigration and customs controls to check passenger permissions and documentation
- Identify and search people, goods, and vehicles to establish if a customs offence has been committed
- Identify vulnerable adults and children to prioritise their safety and refer them to appropriate agencies
- Interview passengers, undertake investigations, and determine whether they qualify for entry to the UK
- Arrest offenders, preserve evidence, manage detention, and liaise with other law enforcement partners
- Responsible for the movement and clearance of imported and exported goods, taking action if any irregularities are identified
- A competitive salary of £28,000.00-£29,400.00 per year
- A 21.42% additional shift allowance, making the total part-time salary £13,697
- A generous pension with an employer salary contribution of 28.97%
- Outstanding training to develop your confidence and specialist knowledge

- You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submitting your application
- You must hold a full valid UK manual/automatic driving licence
- You must be a UK National and a UK resident for the last 5 years (and undertake Security Clearance)
