Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Lawyer to join our team at Venn Group.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including elected members, officers, and commissioners, to provide expert advice on governance and corporate matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice to client departments on governance and corporate matters
  • Support the senior legal team in ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations
  • Work closely with stakeholders to protect the best interests of the Council

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor/barrister with current practising certificate or FCILEX status
  • Experience or knowledge of governance procedures within a Local Authority
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to take on various workstreams
