We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Aero Performance Software and Simulation Engineer to join our vibrant team.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with our data science and software engineering teams to integrate best practices into all aero performance-related initiatives. You will also be tasked with enhancing the methods and tools utilized by the Aero Performance Group.

Key Responsibilities

AERO INNOVATION AND ENHANCEMENT

Collaborate with colleagues in the Aero Performance Group to elevate the performance, usability, and efficiency of current tools, models, and algorithms.

Drive innovation to expand the group's capabilities in utilizing advanced modeling techniques for complex multi-dimensional data sources.

AERO PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Engage with development aerodynamics teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the aerodynamic characteristics of the race car within the aero performance group and trackside engineering teams.

RACE SUPPORT

Provide real-time support to the Race Team from the operations center during events.

PROFESSIONALISM

Maintain and cultivate positive relationships with other departments within the Aerodynamics Division, Vehicle Performance, and Technology teams.

Exhibit flexibility in attendance and approach to work, aligning with the role's requirements and specific project needs.

Demonstrate professionalism at all times, regardless of the assigned tasks, and proactively promote a positive image for the department, team, and sponsors.

Qualifications

A university-level degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering (MEng, MSc, or PhD), or a related field.

Prior experience in a similar role within Industry and/or Academia.

Demonstrated interest in optimizing performance of algorithms, including linear and non-linear solvers, as well as parallel computing.

Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (C++, MATLAB, Python).

Strong grasp of numerical analysis, computational methods, software engineering practices, algorithms, and software design.

Exceptional time management skills with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Fluency in English is required.
