This business is seeking to expand its team with the addition of a Controls Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a technically skilled and experienced engineer with commercial experience, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work well under pressure.

This role involves working on both high-level architecture and detailed, low-level software development, ensuring the control systems are robust, efficient, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems architecture, communications systems (CAN, LIN), and safety analysis (e.g., FMEA and HazOP).
  • Conduct safety analysis using methods like FMEA and HazOP, ensuring that the designs comply with relevant automotive safety standards, such as ISO26262.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement control systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Technical Requirements:

  • Software: Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, and PC applications like Visual Studio.
  • Simulation: Involvement in model development, data generation, and analysis.
  • Vehicle Systems: Design of vehicle control system architecture, communications systems (CAN, LIN), and safety analysis.
