Job Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and qualified Level Three Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team and provide support across various nurseries in Cornwall. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily operations and activities of the nursery, ensuring a secure and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support the personal care needs of children, including feeding, changing, and toileting.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Track and document the progress and development of children, providing updates to parents and guardians.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the nursery team to create a nurturing and enriching educational experience for all children.
Qualifications:
  • Level Three qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3).
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years environment.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
Desirable Skills:
  • Pediatric First Aid certification.
  • Additional training or certifications related to early childhood education or childcare.
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) in an early years context.

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role becoming available later.
