Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our Finance department at Culina Asset Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the transactional side of our finance operations, including treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in leading a team to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. You will work closely with our Head of Finance to ensure that our finance team has the necessary skills and resources to meet our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank and Cash Management: Ensure all cash transactions are recorded accurately and timely, and correctly accounted for in our SAP ledger.
  • Treasury Management: Maintain a relationship with our Group Treasury Team and stay up-to-date on all treasury matters relevant to Culina Asset Management.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare cash flow forecasts and weekly cash flow reporting with analysis versus targets.
  • Sales Invoicing: Ensure all customers are invoiced accurately and timely.
  • Accounts Payable: Maintain a relationship with internal credit control and accounts payable at key customers to resolve payment barriers quickly.
  • Invoicing Performance: Report on invoicing performance and levels of uninvoiced sales.
  • Working Capital Management: Maximise working capital while ensuring suppliers are paid to agreed terms.
  • Payment Performance: Report on payment performance and AP-related KPIs.
  • P2P Queries: Ensure P2P queries are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Reconcile associated balance sheets, analyse and understand variances, and resolve any issues arising.

Requirements:

  • Team Leadership: Ability to manage and develop a team, organising and prioritising workloads, maintaining quality, and operating within deadlines.
  • Financial Expertise: Qualified chartered accountant with a good knowledge of financial and management accounting.
  • Persuasive Personality: Strong persuasive personality to challenge people at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • SAP Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP s4/HANA desirable.
  • Time Management: Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads accordingly.
  • Personal Resilience: High amount of personal resilience to deal with setbacks, changing priorities, and incomplete information.
  • Teamwork: Good team player with excellent communication and persuasion skills.
