Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our Singing for the Brain team as a Support Volunteer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and encouragement to people with dementia, enabling them to participate in our music therapy sessions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and engaging with people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and included in the session.
- Providing encouragement and support to participants, helping them to participate in the music therapy activities.
- Working closely with the session facilitator to ensure the smooth running of the session.
- Supporting the development of meaningful relationships between participants and the team.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with dementia. You will be a good communicator, able to listen actively and respond with empathy. You will also be able to work effectively as part of a team, supporting the facilitator and other volunteers to deliver a high-quality service.
