About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing support and encouragement to individuals affected by dementia during our Singing for the Brain sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with individuals affected by dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants during the singing sessions, helping them to feel at ease and confident.
- Assist the session facilitator with the activities, either online or in-person, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
Requirements
- Ability to develop meaningful relationships and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individuals with dementia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to navigate online platforms and use video conferencing tools with confidence.
