About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting people affected by dementia, providing a fun and engaging activity that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with people with dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants, helping them to feel at ease and participate in the singing activity.
- Work collaboratively with the session facilitator to deliver a high-quality experience for participants.
- Support the facilitator with online or in-person sessions, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. You will be a good fit for this role if you:
- Have an interest in developing meaningful relationships and making a positive impact.
- Are able to listen and display compassion, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Are enthusiastic and fun-loving, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Have the ability to navigate online platforms and use Zoom with confidence (for virtual sessions).
