We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Engineer to join our Public Highways Engineering team in Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh, or Chelmsford. As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing highway schemes using software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Team in designing highway schemes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare or check horizontal and vertical alignments in 3D models, utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate the highway design process, integrating with other design disciplines within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with Clients and stakeholders on technical aspects of projects, providing expert advice and guidance.
Requirements
  • A degree in civil engineering or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field.
  • Appropriate previous experience of working in highway engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, with knowledge of Civil 3D and other relevant software.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Qualified Road Safety Auditor (Team Member / Observer), with a strong understanding of road safety principles.
  • Experience of drainage design, with knowledge of relevant software and techniques.
  • Project Management experience and qualifications, with a proven ability to lead and manage projects.
