Mace is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Plymouth. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all activities on the project are compliant with the client's requirements and Mace's quality management procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in the planning, delivery, and monitoring of the programme.
  • Ensure that all quality assurance activities are carried out in accordance with the client's requirements and Mace's quality management procedures.
  • Assist the Head of Assurance in ensuring that the project complies with the DRDL, CDM 2015, and ONR policies for health, safety, security, environment, quality, procurement, logistics, and traffic management.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with the project's quality management procedures.
  • Develop and implement the 5 BEWC&S Project Integrated Assurance and Approvals Plan (PIAAP).
  • Lead the Learning from Experience (LfE) process to ensure that the project and the wider business benefit from lessons identified during this major project.
  • Support and advise the Head of Construction on matters of compliance and legislation.

Requirements:

  • With or working towards a qualification in civil engineering - HND, HNC, or bachelor's degree.
  • Professional memberships in Institution of Civil Engineers at the appropriate level.
  • First aid training.
  • Experience in nuclear and defence.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of civil engineering activities and how these can be controlled.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with the team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet key deadlines.
