Position Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer specializing in East and South East Asian Educational Studies. This role involves significant contributions to teaching, research, and academic scholarship within the Department of Education, Practice and Society.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of the Education and Development in Asia module.
- Supervise students undertaking Comparative Education dissertations and reports.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of various modules within the department.
- Engage in independent research aligned with the position and collaborate on scholarly projects.
- Play a pivotal role in publishing research findings in reputable academic journals.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant PhD in East and South East Asian Education Studies, Comparative Education, or a related field. A robust background in teaching about Education in East and South East Asia is essential, alongside substantial experience in curriculum design and innovative teaching practices. Candidates should be working towards membership in the Higher Education Academy or hold a comparable qualification.
Furthermore, the successful applicant will demonstrate the capability to engage in high-level international research within Asian Education Studies, ideally at the Co-Investigator level, evidenced by a strong research track record and an understanding of research impact.
