About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Land Buyer/Land Manager to join our team at Metis Homes. As a key member of our land acquisition team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing strategic land opportunities to support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and acquire land for development, working closely with our land director and senior management team
- Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, and consultants to identify potential land opportunities
- Conduct thorough due diligence on land acquisitions, including site visits and analysis of market trends
- Negotiate and agree land deals, ensuring that they meet our business objectives and are aligned with our growth strategy
- Work collaboratively with our planning team to ensure that land acquisitions are aligned with our planning objectives and that we have a strong chance of achieving planning consent
- Monitor and report on land acquisition performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in land acquisition, with a strong track record of securing land deals
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with landowners, agents, and consultants
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough due diligence on land acquisitions
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Strong understanding of land purchase mechanics and legal structures
- Ability to work quickly and decisively, with a strong focus on delivering results
