Job Summary

Tameside Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual School SEND Lead to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school, early years, or college setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the Virtual School SEND Team and ensure effective support for all children with special educational needs.
  • Liaise with schools, SEND Team, and other relevant colleagues to ensure appropriate support for children with special educational needs.
  • Facilitate and support educational providers in reviewing Education, Health, Care Plans on an annual and interim basis.
  • Ensure a consistent approach across Children's Services.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of leading or supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and a good knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and its implications.
