Job Summary

This role is part of the account-based team at CBRE GWS and involves providing support, training, and access to the UK CBRE Full Spectrum Lab services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering general service engineering to both GxP and non-GxP laboratory assets in accordance with the agreed scope of works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Support: Ensure prompt, flexible, customer-focused equipment support while maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory, and engineering standards.
  • Client Relationship: Establish and maintain a strong client and end-user relationship.
  • Performance Review: Attend client meetings to review ongoing performance, areas for continual improvement, and governance.
  • Team Support: Support the CBRE Management Team to ensure all activities are completed.
Engineering Tasks
  • Triage and Maintenance: Undertake triage of assets in response to reported work orders, in accordance with client SLA. Undertake self-performed preventative maintenance on assets assigned to CBRE for general lab equipment.
  • Asset Management: Escort onsite visiting vendors to appropriate work areas within laboratories and comply with client site induction processes. Carry out regular asset sweeps (and potential for re-tagging of equipment).
  • Documentation: Create, manage, and review supporting documentation e.g., service reports.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of the scientific equipment and systems using key performance indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working as a laboratory engineer within a pharmaceutical setting, trained in general lab equipment and able to undertake servicing and planned maintenance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within the GXP/GMP laboratory/pharmaceutical/equivalent sector.
  • Administrative Skills: Knowledge of purchase order and invoice creation, management, and reporting.
  • Technical Skills: PC literate in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, precision checking of documents, service reports, and calibration records.
  • Calibration Knowledge: Sound knowledge of calibration requirements within a GXP environment.
