Talking Therapies Clinical Service Manager Quality and Governance

This is a senior leadership role within the Talking Therapies service, responsible for ensuring the highest possible standards of quality and governance across the service. The successful candidate will provide a qualified specialist assessment and therapy service to adults as part of the Berkshire IAPT Talking Therapies Service, working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, clinicians, and other practitioners to achieve person-centred care.

The Clinical Service Manager Quality and Governance will lead, develop, monitor, and evaluate new or existing areas of service delivery, care, and treatment, and be involved in the implementation of various interventions. They will also take a senior, lead role and provide line management, clinical supervision, project management, and pathway leadership as appropriate.

This role requires a strong understanding of the national TT service and its link to government objectives, as well as experience of providing clinical supervision to psychological therapists and a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a team lead/manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop new or existing areas of service delivery, care, and treatment.
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychological therapists.
  • Take a senior, lead role and provide line management, project management, and pathway leadership as appropriate.
  • Ensure the timely investigation of complaints and reporting and investigating Serious Untoward Incidents.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology/counselling or health psychology or qualification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to postgraduate diploma level.
  • Professional qualification in health or social care, e.g., RMN, Social Worker, or equivalent.
  • British Association of Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapy accreditation.
  • Experience of working within the NHS.
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a team lead/manager.
Additional Information

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The salary for this role is £64,336 to £74,414 per annum, inclusive of HCAS.
