About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Sister to join our Neonatal Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to infants requiring admission to the unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic care to infants, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Lead and support the Family Integrated Care (FIC) team, promoting a culture of family-centered care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that each infant receives tailored support.
  • Collaborate with other neonatal units and the Yorkshire and Humber Neonatal Operational Delivery Network to share best practices and improve care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • RN Child or RN adult with NMC registration.
  • Qualified in Speciality (QIS) Course.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience post QIS.
  • Up to date NLS qualification.
  • Completion of Mentor/PEAP qualification.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also like to see evidence of:

  • Family and Infant Neurodevelopmental Education (FINE) programme training.
  • Embedding neonatal standards.
  • Audit training.
