About the RoleAs a Product Designer in our Government Practice, you'll play a critical role in improving the delivery of public services through the development of cutting-edge AI products. You'll work on socially impactful projects, such as building services to tackle online disinformation, predicting patient flows in A&E departments, and detecting safety-related phrases in rail industry communications.
Our team is passionate about using the most appropriate data science tools for the task at hand, and we're at the forefront of Large Language Models and generative AI. As we grow our in-house digital service team, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end user-centered design process, translating your findings into customer and user needs, and creating technically meaningful content to communicate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the technical team to design practical solutions to pain points.
- Create high-quality visuals and interactions based on a strong understanding of good design principles and the Faculty brand.
- Contribute to the design vision for Faculty, encouraging and ensuring world-class design execution by helping set standards and best practices.
- Participate in design critiques and contribute to scaling the design and product capability across the business unit and company.
- Contribute to and help grow our design system.
- Experience in working with data-heavy products and data visualization.
- A creative, empathetic team player who can inspire and motivate others.
- Experience in carrying out the end-to-end design process independently, with examples of activities that span across product and conducting user research, creating user journey maps and wireframes, prototypes, and running user testing sessions.
- A portfolio showcasing a range of projects, with examples of your design process and artefacts you produced along the way.
- Examples of work where you have done discovery and research to understand a complex problem and then synthesized your findings to come up with design solutions.
- Knowledge of prototyping and design tools.
- Confidence in building and managing strong stakeholder relationships both within Faculty and with customers.
