Field Radio Technician

Arqiva is seeking a skilled Field Radio Technician to join our team in North Scotland. As a key member of our broadcast engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our radio frequency systems, ensuring seamless operations of our DAB, FM/AM Radio, and Freeview Television platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 fault response and maintain service continuity
- Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks, including DAB, FM, and AM
- Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies, and procedures
- Support upgrades and modifications to existing RF systems and networks following agreed instructions
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting of actions taken
- Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer requirements
- Engage with customers and build positive working relationships
- Clean driving license
- Some knowledge of software/hardware development, testing, and maintenance for broadcast, IP network, IoT, or corporate applications
- Working knowledge of RF systems, DVB, analogue radio, DAB, microwaves, sat comms, data networks, telecoms, and power supplies
- Working knowledge of safety, health, and environment legislation, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work away from home at times
