Job Title: Field Radio Technician

Embark on an exciting journey with our dedicated multiskilled Radio and TV Broadcast Engineering Team, where no day is the same. Your mission is to master fault-finding, maintain equipment, and provide unwavering support. Contribute to the vital heartbeat of our society by ensuring seamless operations of DAB, FM/AM Radio, and Freeview Television platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 fault response and maintain service continuity.
  • Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks, including DAB, FM, and AM.
  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards.
  • Support upgrades and modifications to existing RF systems and networks following agreed instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting of actions taken.
  • Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer requirements.
  • Engage with customers and build positive working relationships.
Preferred Experience:
  • Must have a Clean driving license.
  • Some knowledge of software/hardware development, testing, and maintenance for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT, or corporate applications.
  • Working knowledge of RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms, and related equipment.
  • Working knowledge of power supplies, environmental controls, analogue and digital electronics.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply Safety, Health, and Environment legislation, policies, and procedures.
