Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the PR strategy for Schroders Capital's Private Markets division in the UK, focusing on key asset classes such as real estate, private equity, private debt, and infrastructure; Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders within the Private Markets sector and our esteemed content team to enhance Schroders' visibility in this vital area; Advocate for our investment expertise and product offerings within the private markets; Provide strategic communications counsel and media relations support to senior leaders at Schroders Capital; Cultivate strong relationships with influential journalists and media outlets, while exploring innovative platforms and channels, such as podcasts, to amplify Schroders' message; Assist in managing crises and reputation, ensuring the organization is fairly represented in media discussions on significant issues; Ultimately, our objective is to establish Schroders Capital as a recognized leader in the private markets arena.Required Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is essential; A minimum of five years of experience in media relations, ideally with in-house exposure, along with a solid understanding of private markets and media engagement; Proficiency in identifying newsworthy angles and media opportunities; Extensive network of press contacts focused on private markets and a proactive approach to networking; A strong interest in news, asset management, and business trends, with a keen awareness of the daily investment news cycle; Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy; Outstanding writing and analytical capabilities; Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
