Job Summary

Ribbons and Reeves Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support to a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a Year 1 class.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to the pupil with ASC, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's needs.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, adapting materials as needed to meet the pupil's requirements.
  • Support the pupil in developing their communication and social skills, including interacting with peers and staff.
  • Monitor and record the pupil's progress, reporting back to the class teacher and other relevant staff.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and engagement of all pupils.
Requirements
  • 2:1 or higher degree in a relevant field and excellent A-Level and GCSE grades.
  • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition and experience working with pupils with ASC.
  • Dedicated and resilient, with the ability to handle challenging situations with a positive outlook.
  • Calm, patient, and understanding, with a passion for inclusive education.
  • Ability to make learning fun and engaging, inspiring and motivating pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school community.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
