We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our SHEQ and Compliance Team at Connect It Utility Services Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Support the team in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Advise and influence the business to adopt safe working practices, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and report on safety performance, and assist in the development of initiatives to improve SHEQ performance.
- Develop and implement environmental, quality, and health and safety management systems, including ISO 45001.
- NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent.
- Experience of delivering safety audits and dealing with non-conformances in an impartial, professional, and positive way.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of the business.
- Ability to manage own workload and time effectively in an autonomous role.
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable to travel.
