About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our team at a SEMH school in Grantham. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with a teacher and another teaching assistant in a small class setting, providing individualized support and managing challenging behavior.

About the School

Our SEMH school caters to children aged 6-16, offering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Every child has an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring personalized support. You will join a dedicated team of teachers and support staff who are committed to making a difference in the lives of these students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs
  • Manage challenging behavior and facilitate learning activities
  • Work closely with a teacher and another teaching assistant in a small class setting
Requirements
  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working in UK schools is highly desirable
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable young adults is preferred
  • Must have resided in the UK for at least 5 years
