About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Specialist Nurse to join our team at Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical support and care to patients with a diagnosis of lung cancer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care and support to patients with lung cancer, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Deliver specialist nurse-led clinics for surveillance and treatment plans post-MDT, supporting oncology clinics.
  • Develop and implement programmes to address patients' complex health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and treatment.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, holding a clear strategic vision and developing implementation plans.
Requirements
  • Post-basic qualification in cancer or a relevant subject in lung cancer care/management or relevant experience in lung cancer nursing.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Advanced communications skills training or prepared to work towards.
  • Relevant post-registration experience at Band 6 or above, in cancer nursing.
