Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal Unit at Sunderland Royal Hospital. As a key member of our Children's Occupational Therapy service, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to neonates and infants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement highly-specialist assessment, diagnosis, and care plans for clients with complex needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carers, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to the development of the AHP OT neonatal service and share expertise with colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to design and deliver training and education programs.

Requirements
  • Comprehensive experience in Paediatric Occupational Therapy, including neonatal care.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising qualified Occupational Therapy staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, carers, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
