Job Title: Event SIA Staff
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Event SIA Staff to join our team on a casual basis. As an Event SIA Staff, you will be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience for every event attended at Coventry Building Society Arena.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control access and egress to site
- Responding & reporting to incidents as they occur, on occasion ejecting unsuitable individuals.
- Searching bags and the public upon their arrival where necessary
- Monitoring crowd safety and behaviour
- Carry out safety checks
- Control or direct customers who are entering or leaving the venue, to help achieve an even flow of people to and from the venue
- Assist in the safe operation of the venue
- Staff entrances, exits and other strategic points; for example, fire exits, exit gates, entrances which are not continuously secured in the open position whilst the event is open.
- Recognise crowd conditions to ensure the safe ingress, circulation and egress of the event and the prevention of overcrowding, particularly in the aisles and atrium doors.
- Assist customers and emergency services in the event of an emergency.
- Respond to emergencies (such as the early stages of a fire); to raise the alarm and to take the necessary immediate action.
- Undertake specific duties in an emergency or as directed by an event manager of security manager or the appropriate emergency services officer.
- Provide basic emergency first aid.
- Any other duties deemed reasonable for the role.
- Must hold a valid SIA License
