About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Analyst II to join our Global Steel Analysis team at Dow Jones. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in providing in-depth analysis and insights on the global steel market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on the global steel market, including trends, forecasts, and market dynamics.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of steel industry data, including production, consumption, and trade statistics.
  • Collaborate with our industry-leading journalists and price reporters to provide timely and accurate market information.
  • Assist in the production of monthly and weekly deliverables, including market reports, analysis, and forecasts.
  • Contribute to periodic research pieces on topical industry issues, such as regulatory developments, geopolitical events, and investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the steel industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, and other data analysis tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as economics, finance, or engineering.
