About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Price Reporter to join our team at Dow Jones. As a key member of our McCloskey Steel Raw Materials team, you will be responsible for engaging with the EMEA region's steel trading sector to gather market intelligence and produce price assessments, analytics, and news for daily publication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report steel prices on a weekly basis, including prices and premiums for Green Steel, with a focus on the European market.
  • Launch new steel price assessments, define price specifications, and gather market feedback.
  • Generate news content on the steel sector, with a focus on Green Steel, for our daily and weekly news deliverables.
  • Conduct periodic research on topical industry issues, such as regulatory developments, geopolitical issues, investment, project pipelines, and ESG.
  • Maintain strong client and industry relationships, sharing and sourcing market intelligence.
  • Engage in business development, assisting our account managers in the sales process.
  • Represent Dow Jones as a public face in the steel space, through client engagements, industry presentations, media interviews, and content marketing.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the steel or steel raw materials industries and/or markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrable impact and influence.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to present and lead public discussions.
  • Exemplary written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team and manage others.
  • Bachelor's degree.
