Job Title: Steel Principal Research Analyst

McCloskey by OPIS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Principal Research Analyst to join its research team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development of steel price assessments, generating news content on the steel sector, and maintaining client and industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new steel price assessments, including defining price specifications and gathering market feedback.
  • Generate news content on the steel sector, with a focus on Green Steel, for daily and weekly news deliverables.
  • Maintain client and industry relationships, bringing existing relationships from prior roles.
  • Share and source market intelligence to inform research and analysis.
  • Engage in business development, assisting OPIS' account managers in the sales process.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in the steel or steel raw materials industries or markets.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, with a proven track record of impact and influence.
  • Excellent ability to present and lead public discussions, including moderating panels at conferences.
  • Quantitative skills advantageous.
  • Exemplary written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
