Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Travel Consultant to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Business Travel Consultant - Out of Hours, you will be responsible for providing expert travel assistance to our clients outside of normal working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and email, resolving travel disruptions and making urgent bookings.
  • Work closely with the day team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and ensure seamless travel operations.
  • Utilize Sabre and Amadeus systems to book flights, rail, hotels, and ground transportation, ensuring the best rates and routes for clients.
  • Conduct risk analysis of global travel news and communicate with senior management as necessary.
  • Prepare and provide traveler tracking reports to clients in the event of a major event.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in travel operations, with a strong understanding of Sabre and Amadeus systems.
  • Fares & Ticketing Level 1 & 2 certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong geographical and product knowledge of destinations and airlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and think creatively to provide innovative travel solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and customer service abilities.

Working Hours and Package:

  • 37.5 hours per week, with flexible shift patterns including weekends.
  • Salary: circa £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus bank holiday payments and bonus.
