Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and management of manufacturing and assembly activities. This role ensures that the status of each production order is tracked and processed according to delivery timelines. The supervisor will guarantee that products and services are delivered efficiently, meeting the required quality standards and timelines. They will also maintain an understanding of material supply and work closely with the procurement team to mitigate the effects of material shortages. Identifying critical components and notifying senior management of potential delivery impacts will be essential. A significant aspect of this position involves fostering strong relationships with production team members, necessitating effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and support production teams, adhering to production schedules and ensuring compliance with quality management protocols.
• Determine the necessary human and material resources to facilitate a seamless workflow, minimizing bottlenecks.
• Monitor production processes and schedules, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the business systems.
• Participate in the selection and upkeep of equipment and tools.
• Ensure product standards are met and collaborate with the quality assurance department as needed.
• Liaise with various departments, including sales, material control, management, quality assurance, and human resources, while covering for absent production supervisors.
• Collaborate with other managers to implement company policies and objectives.
• Uphold health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of workplace cleanliness.
• Supervise and inspire a team of employees, enabling them to reach their full potential.
• Contribute to staff evaluations, disciplinary actions, and recruitment processes.
• Submit weekly timesheets and relevant documentation.
• Identify training requirements and assist in the onboarding of new staff when necessary.

• Guarantee that production departments operate safely.

• Adhere to safety regulations and ensure compliance with ESD precautions.
• Lead environmental initiatives within the department.
• Engage in the implementation and regular maintenance of QMS/ISO systems.
A competitive compensation package is available, which includes a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, company-issued laptop and phone, all necessary tools, and a minimum of 24 days of annual leave. We also offer a long service scheme that increases holiday entitlement up to a maximum of 29 days per year.
