Production Supervisor

Job Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing and assembly processes. This includes ensuring the status of each work order is known and processed in line with delivery dates, and that goods and services are produced efficiently and to the correct quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the production team to ensure they are working to a production schedule and that all processes within production conform to the quality management system.
- Work with the production team to identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the production process.
- Monitor production processes and schedules to ensure a thorough knowledge of the business system is maintained.
- Be involved in the selection and maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Monitor product standards and assist the quality department as required.
- Liaise with different departments, including sales, material control, managers, QA, HR, and cover for other production managers during periods of absence.
- Work with other managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed and a high level of housekeeping is maintained.
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers to ensure staff maximize their potential.
- Review the performance of staff by contributing to staff appraisals, disciplinary processes, and recruitment.
- Submit weekly timesheets and supporting documentation.
- Identify training needs and complete induction of new employees as required.

- Make sure that the production departments are working in a safe manner
- Drive forward the efficiency of the departments
- Keep to the safety regulations and ensure that ESD precautions are observed
- Lead the environmental requirements within the department
- Participate in QMS/ISO systems implementation and their regular maintenance
