Adult Social Care Solicitor/Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor/Lawyer to join our Social Care and Safeguarding team at St Helens Council. As a key member of our legal services team, you will provide advice and representation in all areas of Adult Social Care law.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing legal services team that is committed to improving outcomes for all adults and children within the community. Our team is Lexcel accredited and has been recognized as a finalist in the Local Government Chronicle "Team of the Year 2024" awards and the LexisNexis "Customer Focus Award 2024".

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice, assistance, and representation in court in relation to adult social care, such as DOLs and Court of Protection matters.
  • Be an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with Adult Social Care matters and have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector.
