Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

At Tata Consultancy Services, we are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our desktop systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for desktop systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with major accounts, providing training and support as needed.
  • Comply with Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE) and IT policies, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Liaise with clients, IT support groups, and third-party providers to resolve IT issues and complete service requests.
  • Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, and Change) of end-user hardware, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other equipment.
  • Conduct hardware and software maintenance and support, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Assist with Site Security Officer (SSO) on IT security issues and virus elimination, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Special events coverage, meeting room, and VCON support, ensuring seamless operation of our systems during critical events.
  • Centralized hardware and spare part stocking, local site inventory management, and asset management, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Break fix services to nearest small sites, leveraging shipping options to minimize downtime.
  • Update AMDB (Asset Management Database) including hardware and software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Coordinate activities with third-party providers to resolve IT issues or complete service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
