About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nuclear Assurance Engineer to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assurance leadership and strategic engagement for a major construction project in the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nuclear safety cases, including periodic reviews and assessments.
- Support the review of submissions pertaining to system and operational safety planning and execution.
- Contribute to the engineering design of systems involving nuclear safety requirements.
- Develop resource-loaded schedules for safety case development in support of project milestones.
- Interface with engineering, clients, and regulators to discuss progress, receive feedback, and ensure customer satisfaction with safety case approach and development.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college.
- Previous experience in developing and delivering safety cases to regulators, including development of practical approaches to issues and negotiation of acceptance.
- Understanding of site license conditions and pertinent nuclear safety requirements.
- Knowledge of how safety controls are implemented and maintained within the safety case.
- Experience with the kinds of plants and facilities associated with the safety case.
- Understanding of engineering design processes and configuration management practices.
- Knowledge of Nuclear Safety Processes and Standards.
