Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As the leading Ophthalmic unit in the South East, we operate across multiple hospital locations, providing exceptional care to our patients.

Our service is continuously evolving, and we require a skilled technician to assist our busy outpatient and Day Surgery ward teams. Flexibility is key, as the role includes weekend shifts to accommodate our operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this position involve collaborating with the technician, photography, and nursing teams in various clinical settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the OCT clinic and conducting Visual Fields testing.
  • Assisting and learning Biometry techniques for cataract surgery patients.
  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring meticulous attention to detail to uphold our high standards of care.

Proficiency in IT is essential for operating specialized equipment, along with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience in Ophthalmic clinics is advantageous for candidates eager to enhance their skills and take on greater responsibilities.
