Job Title: General Manager

Location: Newport, South Wales

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Logistics General Manager to lead our Newport site and drive operational excellence in the transport sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a sizeable team and overseeing financial and operational performance across warehousing and transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the operation, ensuring effective budget management and cost control.
  2. Operational Leadership: Lead the distribution operation to provide a reliable and punctual service, with a focus on high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency through continuous improvement and KPI management, identifying opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements:

  1. Senior Management Experience: Proven experience in senior management within a transport operation or customer-centric distribution environment.
  2. Budget Management: Strong budget management skills, with experience of managing budgets and controlling costs.
  3. Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive business growth and development.
