About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at SENploy. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive relationships with students
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour policies and procedures
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people displaying challenging behaviour
  • De-escalation training is advantageous
  • Experience in youth work or similar roles will be considered
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Empathy, understanding, and a commitment to professional development
