The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background and a proven track record of leading teams to achieve high performance targets and outcomes. You will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers, implementing safe systems to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting innovation for our community services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist advice to clinical teams, senior managers, and colleagues on the life cycle of medical devices.
- Undertake testing and repair of a wide range of medical equipment.
- Assist in identifying and managing risk associated with medical equipment and support investigation of medical device-related incidents.
- Assist in monitoring key performance standards associated with internal and external work plans.
You will be expected to plan your own workload and that of the Engineering Team, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and measure key performance indicators to produce reports and action plans to address any deficits.

Person SpecificationQualifications- B Eng. in Electronics or equivalent experience, plus specialist training and experience to post-grad.
- Certificate in supervisory management or equivalent experience.
- Manufacturer accredited training course certificates.
- Supervising teams to achieve stated performance targets and outcomes.
- Supporting colleagues to meet CPD and training targets.
- Planning and implementing personal development reviews.
- Adverse incident review and root cause analysis.
- Managing financial resources within a budget.
- Knowledge of current legislation and recommendations for medical equipment management.
- Knowledge of the application and use of a wide range of medical devices across the complexity spectrum.
- Undertaking and documenting risk assessments.
- Extraction and analysis of data from information systems.
- Knowledge of absence management processes.
- Knowledge of ISO Quality systems.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
