About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Urgent Treatment Centres team. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting existing clinical care and enhancing the capacity and capability within our multi-professional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the health and clinical needs of patients, undertaking consultations as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Use advanced clinical practice skills and clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients.
  • Lead the clinical teams during shifts and provide clinical advice and mentorship to junior clinical staff.
  • Carry out consultations with patients, taking a comprehensive patient history and performing physical examinations.
  • Decide on and carry out treatment, including the prescribing of medicine or referring to primary or secondary care specialist services within local agreed pathways and protocols.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Pharmacist.
  • Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (equivalent or higher).
  • Evidence of completion of study in minor illness.
  • Independent prescriber.
  • Evidence of study in minor injury or willingness to develop these skills.
  • Evidence of completion of study in paediatric minor illness or willingness to develop these skills.
  • Evidence of study in paediatric minor injury or willingness to develop these skills.
