Key Responsibilities:
You will facilitate informed decision-making within the Commercial team through high-quality analysis, insights, and guidance, including:
- Evaluation of customer terms proposals.
- Review of promotional performance.
- Ensuring adherence to the company’s control framework, particularly regarding customer terms, promotions, and commercial investment policies.
- Guaranteeing the accuracy of reported revenue and profitability figures, including regular assessments and agreements on accrual rates for supported customers.
- Cultivating influence within the Commercial team to enhance revenue and profitability outcomes through proactive engagement and constructive challenge.
When applicable, you will act as the finance lead for the company's revenue budgeting and forecasting processes:
- Assisting in volume budgeting and forecasting, ensuring the sales team is committed to the figures.
- Coordinating the creation of precise revenue budgets and forecasts.
- Providing summary reports of actuals for inclusion in the Business Update documentation.
- Driving enhancements in financial processes and reporting capabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Post-qualification experience, including exposure to commercial finance, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) context.
- Relevant qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent, along with evidence of continuous professional development.
- Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting data clearly and effectively communicating insights to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills: influential, persuasive, and articulate.
- Proven relationship-building skills, capable of influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong time management and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel.
